Welcome to Appocado. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of the Appocado web builder, hosting runtime, multi-tenant subdomains, and embedded AI services. By creating an account or building apps on our platform, you agree to comply with these Terms.

1. Ownership of App Code & Generated Assets

Appocado empowers creators with full ownership rights over their generated application outputs:

  • Creator Code Ownership: You retain 100% full intellectual property ownership of your application's source code, customized layouts, unique branding, and custom database schemas created on Appocado.
  • Code Export & Portability: You are free to export your complete application codebase at any time and host it on external infrastructure without vendor lock-in.
  • Platform Ownership: Appocado retains exclusive rights to the underlying core builder engine, prompt compilers, platform APIs, and editor software.

2. Subdomain Allocation & Domain Hosting Policy

Appocado provides instant multi-tenant hosting under subdomains (e.g. my-store.appocado.dev):

  • Subdomain Scoping: Subdomains are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Multi-tenant Resolution Order: Subdomain names must resolve directly from the client hostname (preserving full multi-tenant slugs like brand-1042.appocado.dev).
  • Subdomain Reclaiming: We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or reclaim subdomains that violate registered trademarks, impersonate brands, or host malicious scripts.

3. Responsibilities of App Creators & Hosters

As an App Creator hosting live apps on Appocado, you are solely responsible for:

  • End-User Legal Compliance: Ensuring your hosted app complies with applicable laws, including privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) for user data collected by your application.
  • In-App AI Copilot Behavior: Configuring prompt instructions and managing end-user queries, product catalogs, and order requests generated via the embedded AI assistant.
  • Third-Party Integrations: Securing any custom API keys, payment gateways, or webhooks you connect to your hosted web app.

4. Prohibited Uses & Acceptable Use Policy

To maintain high platform performance and security for all tenants, you agree NOT to build or host apps that engage in:

  • Phishing, credential harvesting, or distributing malware, spyware, or malicious scripts.
  • Executing automated denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks, crypto mining, or resource abuse targeting our edge nodes.
  • Hosting content that promotes hate speech, illegal activities, or explicit copyright infringement.

5. Billing, Quotas & Resource Limits

Appocado offers free tiers and paid plan subscriptions:

  • Usage Bandwidth & DB Limits: Each plan level includes allocated monthly database operations, AI prompt tokens, and bandwidth quotas.
  • Quota Enforcement: Exceeding plan limits may result in rate limiting or automatic upgrade prompts to maintain uptime for your end-users.

6. Service Uptime, Warranties & Limitation of Liability

While we strive for 99.9% uptime, Appocado provides services on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We are not liable for business loss, data loss, or indirect damages caused by third-party network outages or user misconfigurations.

7. Termination & Account Cancellation

You may cancel your account at any time via the dashboard. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach our Acceptable Use Policy with or without prior notice.
